Despite the cost-effectiveness of insulin pump therapy for patients with diabetes & poor glycemic control, many do not have access to the insulin pump. Out of pocket expenses for the insulin pump can be as high as $7000 for the pump itself and additional thousands of dollars annually for insulin pump supplies.
We procure donated insulin pumps and supplies from patients who are upgrading to a new insulin pump and provide them to patients in need at no cost. By obtaining our insulin pumps through donation, our program provides an avenue to repurpose expensive medical equipment that would otherwise not be used.

"As a contributor to Pump Avenue Foundation, I was extremely elated to find out that the donation of my Medtronic Minimed 523 pump saved a life. I hope this helps others make the same decision!"
"Benjamin Lalani and the foundation he started, Pump Avenue Foundation, has found a way to provide used insulin pumps (CSII) and supplies to these Type 1 patients unable to afford a pump on their own Benjamin observed that patients getting new pumps had no use for their old pumps and often just put them in a drawer or worse, dumped them. Benjamin not only found a way to reuse these expensive devices but set up a method for distribution. Kudos to Pump Avenue Foundation for helping patients in need and saving the environment from unnecessary medical waste."
"Thank you Pump Avenue Foundation Team and Benjamin Lalani for your effort in providing pump therapy for the underserved population. Pump therapy is an excellent tool to assist in glycemic control to improve health outcomes."
